This is the main connector on the south side of the Shafer Butte trail system that leads to Stack Rock Loop. It’s also the primary way people make a loop out of Eastside. After a couple of very steep switchbacks by the parking lot on Bogus Basin Road, you can expect a flowy, fun, tree-laden descent. An active logging project interrupts the singletrack, and signs direct you onto a logging road for a while, until you rejoin the singletrack for a mellow trek out to the Eastside/Stack Rock Junction.
