Danskins Ultra Run Trail
“No Fees, No Awards, No Aid, No Wimps”
This is a fatass event that means there is no entry fee, but it also means there is no aid, no shirt or awards. Just a chance to run some great trails and challenge yourself.
There is a limited number of spots available for this event because of forest service rules.
This race takes place on the Danksin Mountains OHV area trails about 45 minutes outside of Boise. This area is part of the Boise National Forest, so there is dispersed camping available at the trail heads and surrounding area.
50k
The 50k will be a combination of the 20 miler and 10 miler loops, the trails are a mix of dual and single track ATV trails. There will be 5000+ feet of elevation gain, many creek crossings, great views and lots of wildflowers. There will be no aid stations but there will be 2 water drop locations, 1 at the Bender creek TH which you will hit after completing the 10 mile loop which puts you back at the start location. The second will be at the Willow creek TH roughly mile 12 of the 20 mile loop. There are lots of creeks in this area so being able to filter water is a good idea if you will need more water then what you can carry between water drops. Poles are not required but highly recommended for the 20 mile loop, there is a 1200 foot climb in about 1.5 miles.
20 Miler
This is a twentyish mile loop with 2 out and back sections. There will be one water drop about mile 12, there are many creeks here so having a way to filter water is a good option if you will need more water. Poles are not required but highly recommended for this loop, there is a 1200 foot climb in about 1.5 miles that has some very steep sections and the descent is about as bad.
10 Miler
This is a tenish mile loop, with is 1400+ feet of climbing. There is no aid or water drops on this loop.
