Trail is good to go, but expect dry, dusty and loose trail surface and/or occasionally deep sandy areas.

Willow Creek trail in Avimor can be the best trail or the worst trail, depending on conditions. When it’s well-groomed and free of bovine destruction, it’s an amazing trail. It climbs steadily from the corral-like lower environs up to a saddle with amazing mountain views. It follows a creek the whole way, and there are plenty of little technical sections to keep it interesting. It’s 100% rugged, secluded singletrack. Unfortunately, it sees so little use that it often falls into disrepair, so check our updates before you head out. Willow Creek is typically accessed using the Shooting Range and Bovine Nirvana trails.

  • Husker May 17, 2020 at 7:13 amRode up on May 17. Trail in great shape and not (yet) overgrown. One bridge over creek cock-eyed but ridable. Early side bridge missing a middle plank that another rider dropped a tire through (be aware). Spectacular view at the top.
  • MELU477 September 9, 2019 at 10:24 amAlso rode top to bottom yesterday. Upper 1/2 badly overgrown and a lot of bovine damage. Almost unrideable.
  • jpease July 16, 2019 at 4:17 pmRode it top to bottom this afternoon. I can't recommend riding it at this time. The upper portion is badly overgrown with bushes. Limited to no visibility with brush in your face and pedals for long stretches.
  • sam May 3, 2019 at 9:53 amBring bug spray. Vegetation is overgrown. This along with the rest of the trails out here could use maintenance.
