Trail is mostly dry but has a few snow patches here and there. Ride or walk though any snow patches — don't widen the trail by going around them.
Upper Hulls Gulch is a secluded singletrack open only to foot traffic, making it a fantastic option for hikers and joggers looking to get away from bikes. You can access it by ascending lower Hulls Gulch or you can park at the designated Hulls Gulch lot on 8th Street and do only the upper portion. Upper Hulls Gulch is just a lovely trail.

- March 14, 2021 at 2:56 pmHiked the whole loop this morning. A few stretches of short muddy sections with some longer snow patches on the east facing side as you get higher up. All of it can be easily hiked but I would recommend doing the loop counter-clockwise while the snow is present so that you do not have to descend the snowy stretches.

- March 10, 2018 at 2:26 pmRan it this morning and there is lots of frozen snow covering much of the upper sections. It can be run with caution uphill. We didn't risk downhill and ran down Sunset Peak Rd. instead.
- February 3, 2018 at 9:13 pmA few spots of snow but no real mud.
- January 27, 2018 at 10:32 amNo mud early this morning, snow got deeper up higher.
