Pat’s is a great lesser used trail; most folks opt for the better-known Eastside trail. Pat’s trail is a bit rugged and tight, with a few uprooted trees typically on the path. The occasional granite boulder provides the chance to play, like a tame version of an Idaho backcountry trail. Pat’s is typically done as a downhill to meet up with Eastside, but people occasionally climb it, too. Enjoy the pine trees and foliage as they are not present in many other parts of the foothills.
