Stack Rock loop gets more and more popular every year. There are a couple of reasons for this. First, it’s a cool trail that leads to an iconic landmark (Stack Rock) with killer views. Second, the City of Boise’s adoption of Sweet Connie as an official trail has dramatically increased the number of trail users who ascend Sweet Connie, and the Stack Rock loop is a perfect little lollipop to add to the end of Connie. On weekends, lots of hikers make their way to Stack Rock from the trailhead on upper Bogus Basin Road. In fact, it’s one of the best hikes in Boise.

- May 5, 2019 at 9:21 pmThe trail is in pretty decent shape. Some wet sections and a few large patches of snow that have been walked and run over so many times there is lots of traction so they are easy to navigate. In a few more weeks it should be clear and dry! :)

Just a few small snow patches that should be gone by 4/28, given the expected temperatures.
