Trail is riding well right now and there are no reports of mud, deadfall, or snow.

Tired of doing Peggy’s trail to Chuckar Butte, only to be stuck in Hidden Springs and facing a long slog on Cartwright Road to get back to your car at the Peggy’s trailhead? Try Cartwright Ridge for a dirt connection. It ain’t the greatest trail, but it’s better than pavement. It does have nice foothills views and a few very brief moments of excitement as it plunges down (and then quickly back up) through some short draws.
