Two things to know about Femrite’s: it doesn’t rhyme with termite, and you don’t want to climb it. Steep, loose, and rutted, Femrite’s Patrol is a dream for motorcyclists and for downhill mountain bikers who are tired of buffed singletrack and looking to get a little more rowdy. Loop it with Trail 4 or Watchman. Femrite’s is named for Jim Femrite, who patrolled the foothills on his motorcycle until his retirement in 2010.
Recent Trail Reports
- June 9, 2020 at 10:56 amMost of the trail has been flattened. The trail features such as jumps, berms, and whoops have all been removed. Trail is now about 6' wide and no longer fun. Bottom part was still good, but maybe that goes under the chopping block next.
- April 2, 2019 at 4:42 pmNo snow, a handful of puddles in the usual places. Quite a bit of erosion on the steep spots, be on your toes. Generally very good, not much motorcycle traffic yet so pretty solid.
- January 12, 2019 at 1:55 pmA good amount of deep snow still, ice in other places.
- January 6, 2019 at 7:31 pmAs of yesterday, packed snow in places, a fair amount of deep snow.
- April 10, 2018 at 9:19 amBeware man-eating ruts on upper Femrite's Patrol! The rain has dug them out pretty deep above the Watchman's intersection. The trail is already dry and loose.
