Ridgecrest is a nice winding little singletrack connection for those days where you just don’t feel like grunting up the Central Ridge waterbars. Ridgecrest is popular with hikers, as it offers nice views of downtown and forms easy loops with the other Military Reserve trails.

January 25, 2018 at 1:34 pmRidgecrest taking off from Mountain Cove Road, just before the road climb to the shooting range, was sloppy muddy this afternoon. Mud sticking to shoes before even getting on the trail. Take this as a good indication that Bucktail and Central Ridge will be bad as well.

Ridgecrest was solid frozen mud this morning before dawn. Military Reserve is definitely still muddy and should be avoided.
