Sidewinder is a fast, flowy and fun hardpacked trail. Sidewinder has good sightlines and ample opportunities for speed, so you can really fly on the (very rare) occasion that the trail is empty. In drier months Sidewinder gets really sandy, but in the spring it’s mint. Sidewinder is a popular climb, often looped with Fat Tire Traverse and Freestone Ridge.

Muddy and rutted.

Some ice on the upper half of the trail yesterday, but certainly ridable.
Sidewinder is in great shape, if you can get past all the ice or mud (frozen in the morning) to get to it.
3-4 small puddles on Sidewinder as of 12:00 pm. Otherwise perfect.
Very tacky after the recent rains. Small puddle near the bottom and the bigger one at the top. Other than that, riding great.
Hero dirt, rode at like 11am, super tacky and no puddles, all the wind yesterday dried out the trails. Plus, no one is out!, PS, the bottom is dry also, that is the area that normally is trashed.
Rode yesterday, great condition, no issues with this trail.
Rode by there on 3/7/18 around 5pm. The bottom is pretty eff’d with lots of ruts. Do not recommend riding it until it dries out.
Frozen this morning, but will be very muddy later today. Deep ruts on bottom section.
Still long stretches of snow on the top half.
Great. The dirt almost feels like fall up there, loose sand in the usual spots but rippin’ otherwise
Surprisingly in good condition. A little softness at the bottom, but not leaving ruts. Should be great tomorrow.
Looked at it from Crestline (came down from Hulls) and decided to turn around. The bottom looked very muddy.
